Class IX : Physics
Chapter: Measurement and Experimentation
Reader Friendly Format
Pre-requisites

Physics is an experimental science. Every law of physics has to undergo the test of experimentation. Only those laws are considered to be a part of physics which are proved by experiments. So experimentation is the backbone of physics; and experimentation is always associated with measurement. Without measurement, no experiment is complete. The basics of measurement and experimentation are of utmost importance to any student of physics and science.
  1. As we are going to study the different units and measurement systems, it is imperative to know how  we measure. (Explanation)
  2. Meaning of accuracy in the measurement of any physical quantity. (Explanation)

Pre-test

A pre-test allows you to be sure you have a clear understanding of the concepts given above. Your score in this test is an indicator of your familiarity with the pre-requisites. We suggest you go through the pre-requisites again in case you do not score high in this test. And remember, you can take this test only once (unless specified otherwise). The evaluation for this test will be available in your performance tracker.
