This chapter takes a close look at some of the interesting aspects of this vital substance. Water is a compound. (Explanation) Water exists as solid, liquid or gas under different conditions. (Explanation) At normal atmospheric pressure the freezing point of water is 0^o C, and the boiling point of water is 100^o C. (Explanation) Pure water is neutral towards litmus. (Explanation)
