Q. How do I access Smart Study Courses?
Ans. To access your Smart Study courses, you first need to go through two steps
  • Enrol for the course and obtain a Smart Study Kit.
  • Activate the course.

Once you have done this, you will be set to use the Smart Study course and its extremely useful features.
      

Q. How do I enrol for Smart Study Courses?
Ans. You can purchase the Smart Study Kit from an ePartner (in select cities) or buy it online (through DD/Cheque).
         
Q. How do I pay?
Ans. You can pay an ePartner in cash or using a DD. You can also pay online using a DD or a Cheque.
       
Q. Can I a use credit card to pay for the Smart Study Kit?
Ans. Currently, we do not accept credit cards. If you want to buy online, please use a DD or a Cheque.
        
Q. Can I pay by a cheque?
Ans. Yes, a cheque payment is acceptable as a direct payment mechanism, but we will have to wait for the cheque to clear to provide you with our services.
       
Q. I have enrolled for the course and have obtained a Smart Study Kit. What do I do next ?
Ans. Once you have obtained a Smart Study Kit, click on the Smart Study icon on the home page to activate your course.
          
Q. How do I activate my course once I have the Smart Study Kit?
Ans. You will need to log in using a login name (if you haven’t registered, you can create an account easily using the Register link on the homepage). After having logged in, go to the Smart Study section and click on the Activate link. This page will provide you the detailed directions for activating the course for the login name with which you have logged into the system.
     
Q. Why do I need to login to activate the course ?
Ans. The course is activated for you and only you can access it through your login name and password. Also the course delivery is personalised for each user.
     
Q. What is ePartner code?
Ans. Once you open the Smart Study Kit you will find a four-digit number stickered on the top left corner. This number identifies the ePartner from whom you have purchased this Smart Study Kit and is needed for activating your course.
       
Q. What is Course Code?
Ans. Once you open the Smart Study Kit, you will find a six-digit number stickered on the top left corner. This number identifies the course that you have purchased and is needed for activating your course.
         
Q. What are Course Activation Pins (CAPs)? How do I use them?
Ans. The Course Activation Pins or CAPs are the secret access numbers that are inside the envelope in your Smart Study Kit. You need to enter all the CAPs that are there in the envelope to activate your course.
      
Q. I have entered the Course code but the system is telling me that it is invalid ?
Ans. It is very likely that the Course code has not been keyed in correctly. Pease check the course code on the Smart Study Kit and type it exactly as it appears there. If the problem persists, contact your epartner or the Customer Service Cell (details provided on CAP).
          
Q. I have entered my CAPs but the system tells me that they are invalid!!!
Ans. The CAPs that you are entering are incorrect ones. Please ensure that you have typed them exactly as they are printed. In case the problem persists, please get in touch with our Customer Service Cell (details provided on CAP).
       
Q. On entering the CAPs the system is telling me that the CAPS are incomplete!!!
Ans. You have probably missed out on one or more of the CAPs lying in the Smart Study envelope. Enter all the CAPs that are there in you Kit. In case there are no more CAPs in the envelope, please get in touch with our Customer Service Cell (details provided on CAP).
       
Q. I have activated the course. How do I access the course?
Ans. Once you have logged in using the same login name for which you had activated the course, you will be shown a My Account link on the home page. Click on the link to go to the list of courses for which you have enrolled within the system.
        
Q. What is "My account"?
Ans. "My Account" is a link to the course(s) that you have enrolled for and would wish to access on a regular basis. It also gives you information on usage of emails and other features offered in your course.
       
Q. Will I get books to study from?
Ans. We will send you booklets for specific courses which will have brief summaries of the chapters you study. We encourage you to learn on the internet to take advantage of interactivity features, peer learning and learning at your own pace.
       
Q. Will I get all the lessons at a time?
Ans. Our faculty has scheduled the course to make your learning more focussed and efficient. The content will be uploaded in a phased manner but shall be completed much before the final examination.
       
Q. If I have doubts, how do I get them clarified?
Ans. We have subject experts who will answer all your queries. You have the facility of weekly chat with these subject experts and also a discussion forum for you to interact with your peers.
           
Q. How soon will eGurucool.com respond to my e-mail query?
Ans. Our effort is to answer your query promptly and to provide you the best answers. We will get back to you within 72 hrs on all your queries.
          
Q. Does my PC need multimedia to access this ?
Ans. No, you don’t need a multimedia PC to access Smart Study courses. Any PC which has a browser and can be connected to the Internet can be used to access Smart Study courses.
         
Q. Do I need to install any special software?
Ans. No, you don’t need to install any new software. Your PC needs an Internet browser (Internet Explorer/ Netscape Navigator) to access the Smart Study course.
         
Q. Where all can I access these courses from?
Ans. To access the courses, you only need a PC connected to the Internet.
         
Q. Do I have to stay online for the entire course?
Ans. You don’t have to stay online to study. If you want, you can save the pages and then study the course at your convenience. For interactive features like email, chat and discussion forums, you will have to stay online.
          
Q. What happens if my connection breaks midway?
Ans. If your connection breaks midway, you can reconnect to your ISP and continue from wherever you were in the online course.
