Introduction
|
Here is a
little story to show you the significance of
proportion in real life.
Kenneth comes home from school one evening.
After freshening up and having a snack, he sits
down to do some studying for his test the next
day.
It is then that things start to go haywire…
|
|
First, Rupak drops in because he has just
received a WWF CD for his play station, and he
just has to show it to Kenneth. After an
hour and a half, Rupak leaves, but soon Shiva
calls and the two friends spend nearly 45
minutes on the phone discussing the inter-class
football tourney which is to start next
week.
|
Well, as soon
as Shiva hangs up, Rohan, who lives two floors
above, asks Kenneth to come up to watch the
Wimbledon quarter finals, which goes on for over
two hours, but Kenneth hangs around only for an
hour and a quarter. Anyway, it is now dinner time
and about 50 minutes are spent at the table with
the rest of the family. Finally it is time to sit
down on the computer to download emails and spend
some time chatting with friends for about an
hour.
