Introduction
|
| In the last chapter, we learnt the
concept of limit of a function. In this chapter,
we will learn the importance of a specific limit,
which has applications in certain geometrical and
physical situations. This limiting process gives
rise to one more concept in calculus, that is the
derivative of a function. The process of finding
the derivative of a function is called
differentiation. In this chapter, we will also
learn the application of derivatives, which help
us find approximate errors and solve problems of
maxima and minima. |
